Camel traffic

Camel traffic in old Peking
Even as late as the 1970's it was possible to see camel drivers around the capital, particularly on routes from the west and the Gobi desert. The two-humped bactrian camels are now an endangered species. This image was taken in a northwest suburb of Peking in 1975.
